At the House of Artists in Milan, here is Forever, an NFT project by Patrick Tuttofuoco

Casa degli Artisti and the cultural association THAT’S CONTEMPORARY present Forever by Patrick Tuttofuoco (Milan, 1974), a project produced by UNFRAMED 721, created in dialogue with writer Umberto Sebastiano, with artistic direction by Martina Grendene, Giulia Restifo and Jessica Tanghetti, from March 31 to April 3, 2022 at Casa degli Artisti in Milan.

Forever is the first NFT project realized by Patrick Tuttofuoco. It stems from the artist’s reflection on the Non#Fungible-Token as a new medium for the expression of his artistic research. Drawing from the interest in the theme of the experience of time, already investigated by the artist, Forever reflects on a new space-time dimension, in which the body of the work, and fruition itself, become dematerialized while maintaining a character of uniqueness, innate in the Non-Fungible-Tokens. The idea is to stretch to infinity, to go beyond material boundaries by creating a new field of action that produces and at the same time transcends the existence of the work. Patrick Tuttofuoco’s reflections are enriched by a dialogue with writer Umberto Sebast iano and the artist’s reworking of a suggestion from Umberto Sebastiano’s novel Il mondo finirà di notte (Nutrimenti publishing house, due out in May 2022).

The work will be available to the public from March 31 to April 3, at the same time as Milan Art Week. In order to stimulate an approach towards NFTs, an NFT Art Lab Experience will be organized on April 2, 2022 from 4 to 5 p.m. online, and from 5 to 9 p.m. in presence, at Casa degli Artisti. The occasion will provide an opportunity for direct confrontation with the different figures involved in the project: the artist, the art direction and those responsible for the content creation and infrastructure part. The goal is to explore the artistic, technical and practical aspects related to the creation and buying and selling of NFTs.
