Florencia Martinez's creations on display in Milan

Original fabric and color works by Florencia Martinez exhibited in Milan at Gilda Contemporary Art through Jan. 14, 2018.

Until January 14, 2018, the exhibition spaces of Gilda Contemporary Art in Milan are hosting a wide selection of works by Italian-Argentinian artist Florencia Martinez.

These are characterized by fabric and color: through fabric, in fact, the artist tells a story, a private and personal experience. Creations made for the first time with colored jute.
Through color he creates a symphony of works that dialogue thanks to the different shades, from white to blue to orange.

Main themes of the exhibition"H. Honey Hungry Home" are love, home and hunger for life, leading back to the Pieta, around which the entire exhibition revolves.

Significant works on display include"A Girl Like Another," a sculpture made of bridal fabric and lace, in which a woman wearing a mask having a bird’s beak is born from a plant, and suitcases covered with precious fabrics embedded with photographs that refer to her family history.
