At Casa dei Carraresi in Treviso, the exhibition"From Titian to Van Dyck. The Face of the 1500s."

Curated by Ettore Merkel, the exhibition will present fifty works between the Renaissance and Baroque periods from one of the largest private collections in the Veneto region, namely the one created by Giuseppe Alessandra since the Second World War.



The exhibition will be divided into six sections: the first two will feature works by artists, such as Giorgione, Titian, and Tintoretto, to understand Venetian painting from the late 15th century to the late 16th century. The third and fourth sections will be devoted to the artistic events of that period in the Lombardy area and Central Italy, while the fifth will be devoted to artists from beyond the Alps, whose events influenced painting in Northern Italy. The last section will deal with the Baroque.

Hours: Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday open only with group reservations.

Tickets: Full 12 euros, reduced 10 euros for students under 26 and affiliated institutions. Free for under 6s, journalists, tour guides and non-self-sufficient disabled people with accompanying person.
