MAXXI, an exhibition brings together 140 contemporary artists from Ukraine. Proceeds will support the emergency

MAXXI National Museum of XXI Century Arts in collaboration with Imago Mundi Foundation presents the exhibition Ukraine: Short Stories. Contemporary Artists from Ukraine. On display are the works of 140 contemporary Ukrainian artists made in 2014.

From March 10 to 20, 2022, MAXXI National Museum of XXI Century Arts in collaboration with Imago Mundi Foundation presents the exhibition Ukraine: Short Stories. Contemporary Artists from Ukraine.

A testament to the closeness to the people and artistic community of Ukraine, the exhibition, curated by Solomia Savchuk, Head of Contemporary Art at Mystetskyi Arsenal in Kiev, is intended to be a survey of the country’s art scene through works created specifically for the Imago Mundi Collection by one hundred and forty artists in 2014. Their works, in the 12-by-10-centimeter format that characterizes the Collection, reflect the profound changes of that time and compose a grand narrative that can help understand Ukraine today and its complexity.

The exhibition will be presented on Wednesday, March 9 at Corner MAXXI at 6 p.m. in the presence of Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini, Fondazione Imago Mundi Artistic Director Enrico Bossan, Giovanna Melandri, President Fondazione MAXXI, and Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, Director MAXXI Arte, and will be open to the public with a symbolic ticket of five euros. All proceeds will be donated to the humanitarian emergency fund established by UNHCR, UNICEF and the Red Cross.

The work Dedicates to the youth of the world II by Roman Khimei & Yarema Malashchuk will also be screened in the videogallery.
