Rome told through women. Jacopo Brogioni's photographs at the Capitoline Museums.

Rome: the Capitoline Museums are hosting, from April 4 to May 12, 2019, the exhibition Rome. The Tale of One Hundred Women. Photographs by Jacopo Brogioni

The Capitoline Museums host the exhibition Rome. The Tale of One Hundred Women. Photographs by Jacopo Brogioni, open from April 4 to May 12, 2019. The exhibition, curated in collaboration with CultRise and set up by the FUKSAS studio in the Capitoline Museums, wants to accompany the visitor, through the shots of the very young Jacopo Brogioni (born in 1990) on a visit to Rome but without influencing him: it presents the city as it appears, through the everyday life and experiences of women who, in Rome, have passed even for a day.

The result is meant to suggest a contrast: a set of images, of facets of a place that remains unique and timeless. The shots, as mentioned, are by Jacopo Brogioni, while and words by Raffaele Timperi. The exhibition and catalog are curated by Treccani, which with this initiative wanted to be present, once again, in the cultural life of Rome and show its commitment to the challenges of contemporaneity.
