What did Dante's face look like? Thirty artists give their version in Ravenna. Special guest Milo Manara

One, No One, and a Hundred Thousand Faces: a group exhibition in Ravenna will display thirty versions of Dante's face. Also in augmented reality.

About thirty artists will gather from September 6 to October 20, 2019 at the Oriani Library in Ravenna for the group exhibition One, None and a Hundred Thousand Faces. The entire city will remember Dante Alighieri in September, and the artists, with illustrations, comics and street art will pay tribute to the famous poet, each offering their own version of Dante’s face. Even the place chosen to host the collective is in theme because it is located next to the poet’s Tomb.

Big news this year will be the use of new technologies, such as augmented reality through the free mobile app ARIA The AR Platform that will animate some of Dante’s faces. In fact, a special sponsor of the event will be the company WASP, known for building 3D houses, which will create a 2.5-meter Dante Alighieri with its printer in collaboration with artist Luca Tarlazzi.
In addition, a robot depicting Dante Alighieri about 4 meters tall, made by artist LABADANZsky from salvaged materials, will be installed in the library gardens.

Special guest of the exhibition will be the great master of comics Milo Manara, author of the pivotal image of the collective.

The artists in the exhibition: Ache77, Alessandra Vitelli, Alessandro Bonaccorsi, Alessandro Turoni, Andrea Casciu, AweR, Blub, Captain Claw, Dario Panzeri, Davide “Dartworks” Mancini, Edo Faravelli, Gianni Sedioli, Jonathan Calugi, Lilly Meraviglia, Marco Mazzoni, Marco Viola, Mauro Gatti, Milo Manara, Nicola Montalbini, Nicola Varesco, Sara vasini, Sebastiano Barcaroli, Stefano Babini, Strudelbrain" Matteo Cuccato, Thomas Cian, Turbogamma, Valentina Brostean, Vaps, Zuc.
