We are back with our auction column! Here is what we have found for the next few days.

If you are a collector of ancient coins, Bertolami ’s has the Greek, Roman and Byzantine Coins auction coming up on Saturday, Jan. 9 and Sunday, Jan. 10, at 3 p.m. Meeting Art is holding the Works of Modern and Contemporary Art auction today, Jan. 6, at 2 p.m., and for Saturday, Jan. 9 and Sunday, Jan. 10, the Recent, Old and Old Manufactured Oriental Rugs and Modern and Contemporary Art auctions.

Christie ’s will hold its Export of Chinese Art auction from Jan. 7 to Jan. 20, with properties from the Tibor collection offering paintings and porcelain from China for sale.

Many are Sotheby ’s auctions starting this week: from Jan. 7 to 14 Royal & Noble sells heirlooms belonging to Britain’s aristocratic families; from Jan. 8 to 21 Important Americana: Furniture and Folk Art with unique pieces from a wide range of important collectors, including Margaret P. Gregory; from Jan. 8 to Jan. 22 there are Vineyard Dreams: Martha’s Ownership of a Vineyard Collection selling works ranging from a very fine group of scrimshaw including an extremely rare whale bone wall pocket and a wonderful collection of folk art paintings and Important Americana: Silver, Chinese Export and American Prints; from Jan. 9 to Jan. 31 Picasso to Rothko: European and American Masters in Dialogue presented by Nahmad at Sotheby’s Palm Beach selling works by Pablo Picasso and other influential 20th century artists.

Finally, from Jan. 7 to 21, Bonhams is holding the January Fine Motoring Mascot Online Auction selling figurines fromEngland, France and America.
