New auction column: best deals from Jan. 18-24.

In the new installment of our auction column we will outline the best deals from January 18 to 24.

Three auctions at Wannenes: on Jan. 18 there is BIJOUX; on Jan. 19 there will be MONTRES RARES; from Jan. 20 to Feb. 1 DIPINTS ANTIQUE AND OF THE 19th CENTURY will open.



Jan. 18 and 19 are the second and third parts of Babuino’s To the Highest Bidder auction. Lots include sculptures, ceramic figurines and vases.

From Jan. 21 to 29 is scheduled at Meeting Art WORKS OF MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART. This auction sells works by artists such as Massimo Campigli, Enrico Baj and Filippo de Pisis.

For those who want to redecorate their homes, Capitolium will hold the DESIGN AND DECORATIVE ARTS OF THE 1900s auction on Jan. 24 and 25.

On Jan. 18, Borromeo is holding the auction PAINTINGS, PRINTS & MULTIPLES. Among the lots for sale are works by artists such as Eliano Fantuzzi, Max Radicioni and Vincenzo Ferrari.

Five auctions at Christie’s: on Jan. 18 there is Outsider and Vernacular Art; on Jan. 19 there will be From Peale to Peto: American Masters from the Pollack Collection and 19th Century American Art; on Jan. 20 we will have Important Americana; and on Jan. 24 it will be the turn of Old Master and 19th Century Prints.

Five auctions also at Sotheby’s: Jan. 18 is Art of the Americas; Jan. 19 will be Important Americana: The Charles and Olenka Santore Collection; Jan. 21 will be The Kindig Collection: Important American Furniture, Paintings, Silver & Decorative Arts; Jan. 23 we will have Important Americana; Jan. 24 will be Fine Manuscript and Printed Americana.
