The 54th Pennabilli National Antiques Market Exhibition, a major event in the Italian antiques scene held from June 29 to July 13, 2025 in Pennabilli (Rimini), has started in Romagna. Organized by thePennabilli Antiques Cultural Association, the event, held among palaces and workshops in the historic center, is confirmed to be growing in both quantity and quality, bringing new energy and interest to the historic center of this thousand-year-old village.
This year the exhibition itinerary is expanded with a dozen new antiquarians selected from all over the country, who join the historical exhibitors, reaching a total of thirty participants. A number that guarantees variety and quality of the proposals, intended to meet the expectations of collectors, enthusiasts and the simply curious, in search of pieces of art and period objects of historical and artistic value.
The exhibition is no longer limited to traditional spaces but extends by involving noble palaces, ancient foundations and historical workshops that frame an event capable of thrilling with the unique charm of the village of Pennabilli. This year it is enriched with new exceptional spaces such as the Orto dei Frutti Dimenticati (Garden of Forgotten Fruits), the Palazzo del Bargello, the Palazzo del Seminario, the Palazzo Carboni, the Teatro Vittoria, the Church of San Filippo and the Oratorio di Sant’Andrea, reopened after years of closure just for the occasion. For fifteen days, these historic venues are transformed into treasure chests of art and culture, exhibiting valuable works and creating an atmosphere that envelops the visitor,. The event, now well-established for over fifty years, aims not only at a temporary appointment, but at a deep rootedness in the territory, capable of stimulating cultural and social development.
Alongside the main exhibition is the rich calendar of Fuori Mostra initiatives, which include exhibitions, conferences, editorial presentations and theatrical performances, with the aim of expanding the cultural offerings and involving an increasingly wide and varied audience.
Among the most relevant novelties of this edition is the Serpe sotto la Pietra project, hosted in the Palazzo del Bargello transformed into an artistic residence. Here it will be possible to admire the works of the winner of the international call dedicated to artistic research on the border between religiosity and magic, a proposal that reflects the promoters’ sensitivity to the protection of intangible heritage and the involvement of new audiences through contemporary languages.
With this 54th edition, Pennabilli Antiques reaches a rare milestone in the national panorama of antiques events. Indeed, the exhibition is a virtuous example of how a project can evolve over time without losing quality and professionalism, adapting to changes in society and the antiques market.
This event represents one of the most significant moments for the Marecchia Valley and Montefeltro, making a decisive contribution to the cultural and economic enhancement of these mountainous areas, which are rich in millenary history but often marginalized. The exhibition, promoted by the Pennabilli Antiques Cultural Association, has been operating on a nonprofit basis for more than half a century, promoting the area nationally and fostering its tourist and cultural growth.
During the two weeks of the exhibition, the public can participate in musical evenings, book presentations and in-depth discussions dedicated to local history and art, with the aim of bringing even those who do not normally frequent the world of antiques closer. An ongoing commitment that confirms the cultural vocation of the event and its social function within the area.
