A rich program of workshops, classes and exhibitions related to archaeology at the Nadro Museum. And the production of a film

The Nadro and Rock Engraving Nature Reserve Museum of Ceryo, Cimbergo and Paspardo offers a rich program of workshops, classes and exhibitions, from ceramics to theater to dance all with an archaeological theme. And the production of a film.

The Didactic Museum of Nadro (Ceto) and the Rock Engravings Nature Reserve of Ceto, Cimbergo and Paspardo (Brescia) is transformed into a cultural center, offering experimental archaeology workshops, theater and dance classes, cinema, lectures and art exhibitions that all follow one common thread: the relationship with the archaic roots of our culture.

Thanks to the new management of ArchExperience - Zamenhof Art, a rich calendar of cultural and artistic events aimed at a wide and diverse audience is offered: courses, workshops, meetings and events that aim to combine the interests and passions of contemporary audiences with archaic disciplines and forms of knowledge.

These range from a"Theater of Origins" course, which from insights of cultural anthropology and the insights of Artaud and Nietzsche moves toward archaic and primordial theatrical forms of expression, to a dance course that moves from some prehistoric figures engraved on the rocks of the Reserve that represent dancers, musicians, and symbols to develop movements and actions of song and dance that are instinctive and in harmony with nature. The pottery course will start from experimenting with prehistoric techniques, as will the intensive survival course that will take place on Easter Monday and will be aimed especially at families.

And again, conferences on tarot cards and witches in Valcamonica will address themes, symbols and arcana of medieval culture; an event involving groups of Celtic and Roman reenactors will be held on June 17 and 18. Among the scheduled exhibitions, in May that of Roman photographer Carlo D’Orta will explore both the theme of dance and the stylization of figures, with parallels to the iconography of rock carvings.

Also among the big news is the production of a film, a short film titled The Little Thief of Cimbergo set in and around Cimbergo Castle in the time of Frederick Barbarossa and made by the same team that produced the museum promo and the two documentaries on Neolithic weaving and Bronze Age pottery that have enhanced the museum’s new displays: screenplay and direction by Eliza Winkler and Virgilio Patarini, director of photography Graziano Filippini, editing Alessandro Baito, production Zamenhof Art, in collaboration with ArchExperience, with the Brescia Lion Brotherhood and the Breno Castle Archery Group. The short film will premiere at the Nadro Museum in May (dates to be determined).

Below is the full schedule. Other initiatives will be added for the months of June, July, August and September.
