In Venice, the partnership between four art and culture institutions in the Dorsoduro Sestiere, which took the form of an agreement aimed at the mutual promotion of museum offerings and the implementation of tourist flows in that area of the Dorsoduro Sestiere in Venice, between the Accademia Bridge and Punta della Dogana, is about to turn ten years old. Gallerie dell’Accademia, Galleria di Palazzo Cini, Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana Pinault Collection have now renewed their agreement to relaunch the Dorsoduro Museum Mile, as a tool to enhance the sestiere and lead visitors along a route of remarkable architectural, artistic and historical value and a site of contemporary cultural initiatives.

Reductions, joint projects, and social campaigns are just some of the activities that characterize the collaboration between the four cultural institutions, sharing the flow of information, devising joint communication actions, and confirming the entrance facilities in the four venues. In particular, the special discounts continue: those who purchase a paid ticket in one of the venues of the Dorsoduro Museum Mile or hold the Membership Card of one of the partners are entitled to a reduced ticket in the other institutions of the circuit. Discounted tickets available are €14 at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, €15 at Punta della Dogana (including Palazzo Grassi), €8 at the Palazzo Cini Gallery at San Vio, and €12 at the Gallerie dell’Accademia. Tickets thus purchased can be used within seven days.

In 2024, the four institutions will enliven the Dorsoduro Mile with an exhibition program on the occasion of the upcoming 60th Venice Biennale. from March 24 to June 23, 2024, Elective Affinities, Picasso, Matisse, Klee and Giacometti, Works from the Museum Berggruen - Neue Nationalgalerie in Dialogue with Masterpieces from the Gallerie dell’Accademia, at the Gallerie dell’Accademia and the Casa dei Tre Oci (the new home of the Berggruen Institute Europe); and from April 17 to September 15, 2024, Willem de Kooning and Italy, also at the Gallerie dell’Accademia;
from April 13 to September 16, Jean Cocteau. The Juggler’s Revenge, at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, to be followed by Marina Apollonio. Beyond the Circle, Oct. 12 to March 3, 2025;
from April 16 to September 29, Martha Jungwirth. Heart of darkness at Palazzo Cini, where Eleonora Duse will also open on June 28. Contemporary Myth, through Oct. 13.
