The third edition of the course sponsored by the IANUA School of the University of Genoa will take place between April and July 2026, with a focus on contemporary art, creative languages and innovative heritage storytelling practices.

Registration is now open for the third edition of d:cult, the Training Course in Scientific Dissemination of Cultural Heritage promoted by the IANUA School of the University of Genoa. The course, aimed at young graduates under 35 from all over Italy, will take place indicatively between April and July 2026 and will include a total of 250 hours of teaching, comprising face-to-face lectures, workshops, site visits and in-company activities, concluding with a final project work.

The main novelty of this edition concerns the direction of Prof. Leo Lecci, who brings an interdisciplinary vision and strengthens the focus on contemporary art, creative languages and innovative dissemination practices. Under his guidance, the course develops a workshop and project approach, enhancing the comparison between different fields such as art, human sciences, pedagogy, economy of culture and new technologies. The goal is to train professionals capable of operating at the intersection of research, communication and cultural design, with concrete skills immediately spendable in the world of work.

The curriculum covers topics ranging from the popularization of art and archaeology to digital-first museums, from accessibility and public engagement to the narration of intangible heritage, and the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence for cultural mediation. Ample space is devoted to artistic and performance practices, storytelling, voice, body and writing as tools for heritage storytelling. Classes will be held mainly in the afternoon and evening hours, Tuesday through Saturday, to facilitate participation by working people as well.

D:cult is making 30 places available, and selection will be by resume evaluation and cognitive interview. The registration fee is 3,000 euros, fully refundable at the end of the course. Residents of Liguria will be able to access regional Specialize to Compete 2026 vouchers, while applicants from other regions will be eligible for scholarships and reimbursements provided by project partners. The deadline to submit applications is Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026 at 12 p.m. The full call for applications and how to apply can be found on the IANUA website.
