Diversamente leonardeschi: a series of meetings kicks off at the Pinacoteca di Brera

A short series of talks will be held at the Pinacoteca di Brera on the different facets of Leonardo da Vinci's influence.

OnWednesday, June 19, 2019, at 5:30 p.m., the meeting Diversamente leonardeschi: Boltraffio and Giampietrino will be held in the Passion Room of the Brera Art Gallery.

This is the first in a short series of meetings intended to present the different declinations of Leonardo da Vinci’sinfluence.

In particular, the meeting will focus on the works of two direct Milanese pupils of Leonardo: Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio and Giovan Pietro Rizzoli known as Giampietrino. The Pinacoteca di Brera possesses a significant nucleus of them: the former’s Portrait of a Young Man will be presented, while Giampietrino’s paintings on display in the Pinacoteca will be shown, and the story of the recently reconstructed Last Supper at the Royal Academy in London will then be told.

Admission to the meeting is free.
