It is titled Meet the Beauty the event that the School of Humanities of theUniversity of Genoa is organizing today, Thursday, July 4, at its headquarters in Via Balbi 2, in the heart of the Ligurian capital. Starting at 6:30 p.m., guided tours of the monumental spaces of the school’s headquarters, Palazzo Balbi Cattaneo (one of the Palazzi dei Rolli): it will be possible to admire the splendid and precious spaces of the palace, as well as the picture gallery with important works from the 17th and 18th centuries. There will also be a chance to get some books for free: the Humanities Library, in fact, will give away to the public double books from its holdings, thus replicating the successful initiative already held last year.

This will be followed at 8:30 p.m. by a lecture by art historian Lauro Magnani, dean of the School of Humanities: the meeting is entitled Palazzo Balbi Cattaneo and the University Heritage. It will conclude at 9 p.m., when the Le vie del Barocco 2019 concert will begin (reservations are required at eventiscuolascienzeumanistiche@unige.it).
