Another great success for this month’s #domenicalmuseo, the initiative promoted by MiBACT that allows free visits every first Sunday of the month to state museums and cultural sites.

According to the recorded data, 31,174 people visited the Colosseum Archaeological Park, 19,369 Pompeii, 14,194 the Reggia di Caserta, 9,924 the Boboli Gardens, 7,613 the Uffizi, 6,397 Palazzo Pitti, 6,206 the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence, 5,648 the National Archaeological Museum in Naples; followed by 5,258 visitors to Paestum, 4,093 to Brera, 2,892 to the Capodimonte Museum (6,861 to the Real Bosco). Less visited were the Royal Palace in Genoa (945), the National Gallery of Umbria (740), and the National Archaeological Museum in Venice (704).

Success also for MiBACT’s new social campaign #mirabilivisions: visitors are invited to share on social media"snapshots of wonder," images that inspire admiration, awe, grandeur.
