Mickey Mouse pays tribute to Leonardo with five installments dedicated to the genius

The weekly Mickey Mouse magazine also celebrates Leonardo da Vinci with five installments dedicated to the great Tuscan genius.

The weekly Mickey Mouse magazine also celebrates the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci ’s death with a five-part story, starting Wednesday, May 8, titled Donald Duck, Here, Quo, Qua and the Great Genius Game.

The story, written by Bruno Enna and drawn by Andrea Freccero, Nicola Tosolini, Lorenzo Pastrovicchio, Giampaolo Soldati, and Alessandro Perina, will take readers on an exciting treasure hunt full of puzzles to solve.

Over the course of the five episodes, Uncle Donald Duck in the company of Qui, Quo and Qua will go on a quest to discover the Master in Italian cities: leaving Duckburg, they will visit Florence, Vinci, Anchiano, Milan, Venice and Rome to solve a riddle concerning the great Tuscan genius.

Each story will be accompanied by rich editorials delving into the topics covered in the different episodes, dwelling on news and curiosities related to Leonardo and events dedicated to Leonardo celebrations. After the preview with an interview with author Bruno Enna, accompanied by numerous curious news items, this week readers will discover more about the Master thanks to an interview with Massimo Polidoro, a leading expert on the subject.

“Leonardo is an immortal genius who spans the centuries without losing his charm. Even our weekly magazine could not miss the opportunity to pay homage to him in his own way, with the unmistakable irony and sympathy of our beloved Ducks, who will let readers discover the more playful side of Leonardo, a genius since childhood. A compelling and adventurous trip to Italy: it will be interesting to see them in action in the very country to which these characters have always been very attached, reciprocated by the affection of the readers themselves. An adventure to be enjoyed episode after episode!” said Topolino’s editor-in-chief, Alex Bertani.

In addition, from Wednesday, May 15, readers will find the first piece of the cover-puzzle dedicated to Leonardo: a four-part puzzle to be completed with cover-tributes to Leonardo, each dedicated to an Italian city.
