Among the policy priorities, the Feb. 20 decree set the enhancement of “cultural heritage as a driver of economic development,” protection, preservation and recovery including through new technologies, projects to digitize administrative processes and cultural offerings, and increase human resources.

On the other hand, as for the goals of autonomous museums, which were also set by another decree published on Feb. 20, 2018, the document indicated improving the quality and enjoyment of cultural places, ensuring protection and preservation, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative activities.
