Artist and designer Laura de Santillana, famous for her glass creations, has passed away in Venice at the age of sixty-four. Born in 1955 in the lagoon city, Laura de Santillana had trained in New York from where she later returned to Italy to work at Venini where she designed objects and lamps. From 1989 to 1993 she served as artistic director of Eos, and from this experience she left the world of design to devote herself exclusively to art, exhibiting in solo shows around the world (Seattle, London, Tokyo, Paris, Zurich, New York) and participating in several group shows: in 2009 she also participated in the Venice Biennale, where she was present at the Venice Pavilion, while in 2016 she took part dlla IX Triennale di Milano.

Since 2015 he collaborated with the Cramum project, for which he participated in four group shows and with which he organized two solo exhibitions: in 2016 Fedeli at the Francesco Messina Studio Museum and in 2019 ab - the Essence of Absence, still ongoing (until November 14) at the Gaggenau DesignElementi Hub space.
