Art on TV Sept. 21-27: Caravaggio, Pinuccio Sciola, the van Gogh film, Gauguin

On Rai 5 on Friday, September 25 at 9:05 p.m. there will be a new episode of Art Riders dedicated to the ancient tradition of transhumance in the mountains of Abruzzo, while at 10:58 p.m. there will be an episode of Art Night dedicated to sculptor Pinuccio Sciola. On Rai Storia the episode of Art Detective titled The identikit of the myth will be broadcast on Monday, Sept. 21 at 6:40 a.m. (repeated Thursday, Sept. 24 at 5:05 p.m.). The third episode of È l’Italia, bellezza! returns Tuesday 22 at 10:30 a.m. (repeat Thursday 24 at 6 p.m.). #Maestri returns with episodes 28, 29, 30, 31, 32 Monday through Friday from 6:30 pm. On Rai 1, in prime time, a new episode of the new season of Ulysses with Alberto Angela.

On Sky Arte will air Van Gogh - A New Way of Seeing on Monday, September 21 at 10:15 a.m. On Tuesday 22, also at 10:15 a.m., there will be an episode of Artists vs. Wednesday 23 will be the turn of Gauguin in Tahiti: Paradise Lost also at 10:15 a.m. Episodes of Masterpieces in the Mirror will also be broadcast Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 a.m., while Thursday and Friday, starting at 10:30 a.m., there will be episodes of The Mysteries of Paris. On Thursday, Sept. 24, two new episodes of Seven Wonders: Naples will be aired starting at 9:20 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 starting at 2:30 p.m. there will be reruns of Sette meraviglie, the docu-series onItaly’s most beautiful monuments, followed by a rerun of MURO, the film Caravaggio l’anima e il sangue, a rerun of Musei, the documentary Bernini vs. Borromini: i 50 anni che sconvolsero Roma, and finally, a new episode of Luce Social Club.

Frida, the biographical film starring Salma Hayek, returns Friday, Sept. 25 at 3:15 p.m. on Sky Cinema drama.
