The Leonardo3 museum in Milan’s Piazza della Scala, active since 2013 in the study and scientific popularization of Leonardo da Vinci’s work, is organizing on February 15, 2024 at 12 noon a lecture entitled Leonardo da Vinci. A new look at very famous paintings conducted by Martin Kemp, professor emeritus considered among the leading experts on Leonardo. The lecture will be delivered in English.
Over the past fifty years a deluge of research has poured into Leonardo. It has mainly concerned circumscribed topics and specific works of art. The time seems ripe for an overview of his path as a painter. It is an itinerary that begins with the detailed naturalism of the Annunciation and culminates in the spiritual mysteries of St. John the Baptist. No painter has ever undertaken such a significant journey.
Readers of Finestre Sull’Arte will have the opportunity to gain free access to this limited event.
In the past few days we held a contest through our newsletter: the first 20 to arrive would get a place at the lecture. Given the success of the initiative and given the volume of requests received, the museum has decided to reserve an additional 10 places for Finestre Sull’Arte readers.
The modality is always the same: click on the “participate in the event” button and fill out the appropriate participation form, entering your personal data (first name, last name, email and phone). The first ten registrants will be able to attend the lecture by taking advantage of the extra seats provided by the museum. Access is in fact nominative and must correspond to the data entered when filling out the form. Hurry so you don’t miss this opportunity! Finestre Sull’Arte is a multimedia partner of the event.
