The second edition of Museum Booster, a large digital marathon organized by MAXXI to reinvent the museum of the 21st century, is coming to Rome.

The second edition of Museum Booster, the great digital marathon organized by MAXXI in Rome and dedicated to the most innovative ideas and services that know how to reinvent the museums of the 21st century, is coming up. This year’s challenge focuses on how blockchain technology can find application in a museum and how to bring its “revolution” to the world of art and culture. A jury of experts will evaluate the work submitted by the teams: to the first ranked team 8,000 euros and the opportunity to test the project at MAXXI.

The ’event is aimed at programmers, designers, developers, startuppers, experts in communication, marketing, copyright, copywriters, art directors, data analysts, interested in technology, innovation and art and who bring with them an interesting idea or project to be developed as part of the competition.

Participation is free of charge and is allowed for groups consisting of a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 8 people or individuals who can create their group on the day of the hackathon independently or with the support of the organization. To register, you must register your Team or individual by filling out the registration form by noon on October 18, 2018. A maximum of 100 participants are allowed.

The hackathon will start at 9:00 a.m. on October 27, 2018 and end at 7:00 p.m. on October 28, 2018. The competition is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. on Oct. 27 and the delivery of the prototype or mock-up and presentation no later than 4:00 p.m. on Oct. 28.
