Milan, a maxi ballet class at the barre with Roberto Bolle in Piazza del Duomo

In Milan's Piazza del Duomo, 1607 dancers joined a maxi class for a ballet barre lesson. Special master Roberto Bolle.

Roberto Bolle brings the barre to Milan’s Piazza del Duomo and brings a maxi-class ballet lesson to life: it took place on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m. the big Balloinbianco event, organized in collaboration with Assodanza Italia, as part of OnDance, a true celebration of dance, or rather of all dances, organized by Roberto Bolle himself and held from September 2 to 5, 2022 in the Lombard capital and already in its fifth edition.

The largest class ever organized by OnDance, with dancers from dance schools from all over Italy, involved 1607 dancers, all dressed in white. The central Piazza del Duomo was flooded with dancers and ballerinas who followed with such passion a class they will never forget with an exceptional maestro, étoile of La Scala in Milan.

Bolle, thanking all the participants, sent a message to the institutions, "So many dancing hearts animated by one passion. And a powerful message to get across to whoever will have the task of managing art and culture in Italy: Dance deserves to be valued, because it is a pivotal element of our cultural and artistic heritage, and above all out of a sense of responsibility toward the hundreds of thousands of young people who live from this passion and dream of a professional future in our country. Thank you all, extraordinary girls and boys, for participating with such enthusiasm and discipline. Dance is truly a school of life, forging the body but above all the mind and soul. Infinitely grateful."
