On August 31, 2025, one of the most beloved events for visitors to the Royal Palace of Caserta returns: Sunrise at the Royal Palace, the exceptional opening of the Royal Park and English Garden at first light in the morning.

After the success of last August 10, the public will have a new opportunity to experience the magic of the Vanvitellian complex in an almost dreamlike atmosphere. The gates of Charles of Bourbon Square will open wide at 4:45 a.m., giving the thrill of an evocative awakening enriched by the music and dance of Progetto Sonora and the Arabesque Association.

The August 31 program.

The day will begin with an itinerary combining art, history and nature, accompanied by the notes of famous composers and the choreography of young dancers:

6:30 a.m. - At the Castelluccia

Near the statue of the Comber, a few steps from the Castelluccia, a story will come to life tracing the origins of the Royal Park and the Old Woods. The narration will be enhanced by music by Bernhard Henrik Crusell (Concert-Trio).

7:30 a.m. - Entrance to the English Garden.

Visitors will be guided to discover one of the most fascinating places in the Reggia, accompanied by the melodies of Florian Leopold Gassmann (Trio in D major).

8 a.m. - Venus Bath.

Dances will be interwoven with the music of Mozart and Crusell, offering a performance that will pay tribute to the symbolic and “hidden” significance of this enchanting corner of paradise.

The musical performances will be curated by Progetto Sonora - Impresa Sociale with the Sonora Wind Trio (Antonio Puzone on clarinet, Simona Amazio on horn, Alfonso Valletta on bassoon, with narration by Massimiliano Foà). For dance, dancers from the Arabesque Association - Francesca Ferraresi, Martina Golino, Raffaele Iorio, Marco Munno and Giada Tibaldi - will be on stage, with choreography by Annamaria Di Maio.

For those who want to make the experience even sweeter, from 5:30 a.m. it will be possible to have breakfast in the cafeteria of the Vanvitellian Chancel and, from 6:00 a.m., on the terrace next to the Fountain of Diana and Actaeon. Until 9 a.m., coffee and dessert will be available at the special price of 2 euros (not included in the entrance fee).

From 5 a.m. Casa Romano, at the beginning of the Waterway, and Graefer’s Greenhouses in the English Garden will also be accessible. The Royal Apartments, however, will open regularly at 8:30.
