From March 18, 2023, the Citroniera di Ponente of the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi will host the multimedia exhibition Van Gogh Experience, branded Next Exhibition. The immersive show on Van Gogh comes to the Citroniera di Ponente after the traditional exhibitions on Frida Kahlo and Marilyn Monroe. The goal of the project is to interact with the viewer and invite him or her inside the painting, with projections all over the walls and floor, which will be colored in Vincent van Gogh’s most beloved hues, from the deep blue of the starry night to the bright yellow of sunflowers.

The works of the great Dutch artist will come to life in a video, repeated pathway in which it will be possible to observe the art from different points of view, standing or lying on the floor, “becoming an integral part of the painting,” the organizers promise. Indeed, the idea is to make the visitor become the protagonist of the work, expanding his or her senses to waves of images and sounds. The exhibition, moreover, will involve not only sight, but also hearing, with a soundtrack that will accompany visitors on their journey.

In addition to videomapping, a virtual reality section will allow the visitor, wearing the latest generation oculus, to see through the eyes of Van Gogh, intent on observing the world and drawing inspiration from the landscapes most familiar to him for his works. Also present is a reconstruction of Van Gogh’s room in all its details, where you can take a fun souvenir photo.
