The Women's Photography Biennial is online. And you will be able to dialogue live with the artists

The Mantua Photography Biennial moves to the web and its social channels Facebook and Instagram. New: meet the artists live.

The Women’s Photography Biennial, conceived by theAssociation la Papessa and under the artistic direction of Alessia Locatelli, is moving to its social channels Facebook and Instagram, offering various initiatives ranging from photo contests to live social feeds.

Through the hashtag #bffhastime, the Photography Biennial has launched a photo contest in which everyone can participate: this week the theme is the portrait or self-portrait: after having taken it using any photographic technique, it is necessary to share it on Instagram with the hashtag #bffhastime and some of the best shots will be published on the official channel of the Biennial.

Every Friday, President Anna Volpi will virtually take the public through the Biennale of Women’s Photography exhibitions on the IGTV column, offering weekly BFFPills dedicated to female artists.

From April 18 and 19 will also come a novelty: every Saturday and Sunday it will be possible to meet live on the official social channels a photographer of the first edition of the BFF, who will be ready to answer all your questions. These will be collected in the days before the live broadcast to make a dialogue between the audience and the artists possible: the first two guest photographers of BFF Goes Live will be revealed soon.

Thanks to the support of Italy Photo Award the portfolio readings scheduled in the program will take place: on April 18 and 19 on the online platform it will be possible to access the booked readings and receive a live review (via Zoom or Skype) of the portfolios from the readers of your choice. A jury composed of the professionals invited to the BFF and Cecilia Pratizzoli of Italy Photo Award will select two portfolios (under and over 35) that will automatically participate in the final of the national award to be held in December.
