Until January 7, 2018, Pistoia ’s Palazzo del Tau is hosting another exhibition as a compendium to the exhibition “Marino Marini. Passioni Visive,” dedicated to Pistoia artist Marino Marini.

In this exhibition"Miró and Marino. TheColors of the Mediterranean" is intended to bring his works into dialogue with others created by his contemporary artists, particularly those of Miró.

The two artists met in the 1950s as they both frequented Fernand Mourlot’s atelier in Paris to print their lithographs here. They also became friends, as evidenced by the correspondence displayed in the exhibition.
Marini and Miró’s works are very different from each other both in terms of themes and mode of painting, but they both express joy of life through their chosen colors.

Marino Marini’s paintings on display include the tempera collection"Marino’s Circus" from the late 1970s,"Mobility of Color" and"Objects in Space."
