Rome, at MAXXI the architecture of BBPR, Dardi, Monaco and Luccichenti, Moretti

Through Oct. 15, 2023, MAXXI in Rome is hosting an exhibition on twentieth-century architecture with materials from the BBPR, Dardi, Monaco Luccichenti, and Moretti archives.

Until October 15, 2023, MAXXI in Rome hosts the exhibition Architetture a regola d’arte. From the BBPR, Dardi, Monaco Luccichenti, Moretti archives, an original reading of archival documents, bringing together different authors with a particular key: the relationship between architecture and artwork in their work. The exhibition is curated by Luca Galofaro with Pippo Ciorra, Laura Felci, Elena Tinacci.

BBPR, Costantino Dardi, Vincenzo Monaco and Amedeo Luccichenti, and Luigi Moretti are the protagonists of the exhibition Architetture a regola d’arte, which stems from the desire to enhance and share the precious materials that in recent years have enriched the MAXXI Architettura Collection, in particular the archives of some of the most important Italian architects of the 20th century.

From the restoration and arrangement of the Museums of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan by BBPR to the architectures that welcome and integrate with important works of art by Studio Monaco Luccichenti; from the exhibition layouts of Costantino Dardi and his work with critics and artists to the love for art of Luigi Moretti, connoisseur, enthusiast and expert, refined collector and gallery owner, as well as architect.

The exhibition of projects, documents, images and correspondence thus highlights an educated and interdisciplinary approach to architectural projects, in which the personal dimension intersects with the professional one.
