The City of Genoa is seeking professionals for culture. In fact, two ad hoc calls have been published in the past few hours, one for the awarding of an external assignment for study and consulting activities aimed at historical-bibliographical publications, scientific curatorship and dissemination activities, and the other for the awarding of an external assignment for study and consulting activities aimed at the conception, design, communication and realization of cultural events integrated with the Strategic Plan for Culture 2023-2026. Both are due at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 23.

The professional selected with the first call, in particular, will work on networking and network projects in the areas of cultural enhancement of Genoa from the seventeenth century to contemporary times, with particular reference to Genoese painting. The second, on the other hand, relates to the areas of contemporary, visual and intangible art involving cultural sectors pertaining to street art, cinema, and otherwise characterized by high interdisciplinarity such as, in particular, robotics, architecture and design.

The required activity will consist of study activities, to be concluded with written reports, on the following subjects, within the discipline of the assignment: conception, design and strategic/operational implementation of the palimpsest and of the initiatives and events for the implementation of the Strategic Plan of Culture 2023-2026; implementation of promotional activities on the city, national and international territory, related to the events conceived, designed and implemented for the enhancement of the artistic cultural heritage of Genoa; construction of a network of collaboration between the realities cultural realities operating in the municipal territory and creation of synergies with the stakeholders of the City of Genoa; elaboration of a system for measuring results through the identification of performance and impact indicators, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), that can measure and monitor the path, identifying possible course corrections to achieve the targets; sponsor search techniques and fundraising activities to economically support and implement the artistic-cultural activities.

Also covered by the assignment will be the consultancy activity, consisting of the preparation of opinions regarding the implementation of the following activities, to which the assignment is aimed: realization of the objectives of the Strategic Plan of Culture 2023-2026 in the specific areas pertaining to the specialized consultancy; realization of a Communication Plan to promote cultural events, with particular attention to the popularization aspects and social media, in coordination with the communication strategies of the Entity; analysis and technical-scientific evaluation of the proposals of cultural initiatives that are received from the stakeholders in order to contribute to the implementation of the Cultural Strategies of the Entity.

Requirements of the first call for applications include proven work experience of at least 36 months in the field of cultural, historical and artistic promotion of exhibitions and cultural events. This requirement must be evidenced by curriculum vitae, to be attached to the application. The second one, on the other hand, needs proven work experience of at least 36 months in the field of artistic and cultural promotion of contemporary art, new art forms (e.g., street art), cinematography, photography, bibliography and literature, and major events.
