BreraPLUS+ takes to theaters for the first time with a film on Dante and Napoleon

BreraPLUS+ brings to the cinema for the first time with a film dedicated to Dante Alighieri and Napoleon Bonaparte.

On the occasion of the celebrations of the seven hundredth anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri and the two hundredth anniversary of the death of Napoleon Bonaparte, the online channel of the Brera Art Gallery BreraPLUS+ presents on September 4 at 8.30, in the cloister of the Church of Santa Maria dell’Incoronata, Great Men: an experimental theatrical piece that, through the recounting of the lives of Napoleon Bonaparte and Dante Alighieri, allows for meaningful connections between the experience of being forced to move away (geographically, culturally or spiritually) from one’s homeland of origin and family relationships.

Written by Emily Renée, a young English playwright and already an established writer, director and actress, and directed by Fabio Cherstich Great Men, with Jorge Franco IV, Marco Gambino, Jacopo Rampini, brings out a delicate and complex plot of parental, human and intimate relationships.

The film, in original language with Italian subtitles, will be shown outdoors and with a stereo sound system on wireless headphones. Great Men will be shown on a double screen.

Admission is reserved for all BreraCARD holders. To reserve a seat at the cinema, it is necessary to hold BreraCARD, the nominal card with which it will be possible to see Great Men on September 4, gain immediate access to BreraPLUS+ for one year and visit the Brera Art Gallery for three months.
