Calzaturificio delle Marche creates shoes inspired by street art. Collaborating with street artist Gola Hundun

Fiorangelo, a footwear manufacturer from the Marche region that has been active since 1976, creates a line of shoes inspired by street art by collaborating with street artist Gola Hundun.

The Marche region is world famous for its footwear district, an excellence that needs no introduction. And as is the case with all excellence, footwear in the Marche region researches, tests, experiments and innovates. Thus, a Fermo-based shoe manufacturer, Fiorangelo, in collaboration with PopUp Studio, a design and production studio of urban redevelopment interventions, has come up with, under the banner of creativity and innovation, a capsule collection (i.e., a limited collection usually inspired by a single theme) of footwear that draws on street art. The new line is called Fiorangelo City Mood, and its creation involved street artist Gola Hundun (a pseudonym for Nicolò Reali, Cesena, 1982), who created the designs.

In Gola Hundun’s creations, nature is the protagonist and is an entity charged with generative force: the art of the Romagnolo street artist therefore intends to launch vital messages capable of awakening individuals from their daily materialism, to sensitize them to beauty and bring them back in tune with the rest of their ecosystems. And this is also the basis that led to the creation of City Mood, a project with which PopUp Studio, we read in the official presentation, “is the spokesperson and interpreter of new formulas of doing business by uniting transversal skills and talents to develop new products, new ways of communicating and new marketing ideas.” City Mood, like all Fiorangelo’s footwear (active since 1976), will be entirely produced in Italy through typically Italian craftsmanship.
