Kicking off Radio Capodimonte, the radio station of the National Museum. On air the first episode

Radio Capodimonte, the radio station of the National Museum of Capodimonte in Naples, officially starts. The first episode is already on the air.

Radio Capodimonte, which we told you about here, is about to go on the air! Born from the collaboration between the Capodimonte Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte with the Master in Radiophony at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples and the Campania Music Commission association, the project is a 12-episode radio broadcast that will take us on a journey of discovery of the exhibitions and events taking place at the Neapolitan museum, the artists and works on display in the Reggia, and will also let us listen to the sounds of nature that the Historic Garden and the Bosco have to offer.

Each episode, included in the schedule of www.runradio.it, will go live every Friday from 3 to 4 p.m. and then be downloadable as a podcast from www.museocapodimonte.beniculturali.it/radio-capodimonte/.

The first episode will feature interviews with the director of the Capodimonte Museum and Real Bosco, Sylvain Bellenger, the rector of Suor Orsola Benincasa University Lucio d’Alessandro, and artist Paolo La Motta about his exhibition Incontri Sensibili: Paolo La Motta Meets Capodimonte, and to Carlo Capalbo, chairman of the IAAF (the international athletics federation) Road Racing Commission, who will talk about Bosco in Rosa, the 5-kilometer non-competitive marathon that will take place in the Real Bosco on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 4 p.m. to raise funds for the Santobono Children’s Hospital in Naples.

Angela Cerasuolo, head of the Capodimonte Museum’s Restoration Department for the restoration of Giovanni Bellini’s famous Transfiguration, will also be interviewed.
Bellenger, who said he was proud of the project, emphasized, “The students of the master’s degree in radio have devised an engaging format with lots of news about exhibitions and events to find out everything you can do and see at the Capodimonte Museum and Real Bosco, a cultural site that is now truly multidisciplinary.”

Rector Lucio D’Alessandro commented, “The University is proud to give life with the Capodimonte Museum and the Campania Music Commission association to an unprecedented format, Radio Capodimonte, the result of the work of the students of the Master in Radiophony program, who worked this spring on the creation of a sound identity that would be able to translate mediatically and represent a prestigious institution such as the Capodimonte Museum and Wood. It is one of the many occasions in which the Suor Orsola Benincasa University realizes an accomplished chain between our way of doing education and the world of work.”
