MiBACT has allocated 15 million for the rehabilitation of Turin's Royal Cavallerizza

MiBACT confirms commitment to restore Turin's Cavallerizza Reale: 15 million euros allocated.

The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism has announced that fifteen million euros have been allocated for the Cavallerizza Reale complex in Turin, which was damaged by a fire that broke out on the morning of October 21, 2019: the roof had gone up in flames.

The Turin Cavallerizza is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as part of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy, listed since 1997, and is part of the plan of 33 major national interventions launched three years ago.

The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Dario Franceschini, thus confirmed the commitment to the building’s renovation, and the 15 million will be allocated to the city as soon as possible.

This is a concrete help to the city for the recovery of the architectural complex designed in the seventeenth century to house the young men of the Academy who practiced with horses.
