Moncalieri Castle returns open to the public after nine years

After nine years of closure due to a terrible fire and after a major restoration, Moncalieri Castle is once again open to the public.

Once again open to visitors, after nine years of closure due to a terrible fire, the Castle of Moncalieri.

From today, therefore, people will once again be able to admire the Royal Apartments, which were devastated in 2008, following a major restoration funded in part by the Compagnia di San Paolo.
Also restored is the castle’s south tower.

The building currently houses the First Piedmont Carabinieri Regiment, but it is being decommissioned by the Ministry of Defense: the castle will be given to the city of Moncalieri.

Throughout November you can visit the entire castle free of charge every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.

Reservations are required and the visit is possible only if guided (guided tours are organized by theAssociation of Friends of the Castle and Park of Moncalieri).
