Unveiled the 22 mystery voices of Italian songwriting greats who participated in the Rai commercial for the bicentennial of Leopardi's The Infinite.

To celebrate the two hundredth anniversary of Leopardi’s L ’Infinito, a masterpiece composed in 1819, from December 19 to 31, 2019, all Rai channels and RaiPlay aired a video in which twenty-two greats of Italian auteur music participated. Each of them recited a verse from L’infinito, but the twenty-two voices had not been made known.

It was an aural and visual journey in which the artists’ voices accompanied the animation of Leopardi’s manuscript.

"I am grateful to the greats of Italian songwriting who accepted my invitation to read Leopardi’s L ’Infinito to celebrate the bicentennial of one of the most famous and popular compositions of our poetic production. The 22 voices, donated and anonymous, are chilling and a unique declaration of love for poetry," MiBACT Minister Dario Franceschini had commented.

Now in a tweet the minister revealed the names of the twenty-two voices: “Thank you Pausini, Zucchero, Giorgia, Vanoni, Paoli, Baglioni, Ligabue, Conte, Zero, Mannoia, Nannini, Turci, Venditti, Morandi, Pravo, Jovanotti, Vecchioni, Fossati, Guccini, De Gregori, Celentano, Mina. Their voices together an act of love for poetry.”
