New discovery in the Pyramid of Cheops

A team of researchers has discovered, using a noninvasive technique called muography, a long secret room in the Pyramid of Cheops.

New discovery in Egypt!

The Pyramid of Cheops has inside it a cavity that is surely thirty meters long: probably a secret room, whose function, however, is still shrouded in mystery.

It was discovered by a group of archaeological researchers through sensors using particle physics, preventing damage to the pyramid.

Thanks to muography-that ’s what this particular noninvasive technique is called-the scholars were able to ascertain the presence of this long cavity, which is located just above the Great Gallery, but other new discoveries will be possible.

The news was published in the journal Nature.
