The center of the art market does not stop even close to the summer vacations. Here are the auction dates from July 16 to 23, 2025.
The week opens on July 16 with the closing of two interesting auctions. The first is Colasanti’s online auction, entitled Manifesti d’Autore ed Opere del XX secolo (Author’s Posters and Works of the 20th Century), which offers a selection of 20th-century graphics and works. Also concluding on the same day in Genoa is Cambi ’s timed sale dedicated toOriental Art. Part II, an immersion in Asian decorative arts. Also on July 16, and through the 18th, the Babuino auction house in Rome is offering its Auction 293 - To the Highest Bidder - Last Trusts, a diverse enchantment ranging from antique paintings to Asian art.
The calendar continues busy in the following days as well. Cambi proves to be particularly active, with the closing of the timed auction of Antiques on July 17, followed on July 18 by the one dedicated to Antique and Rare Books under the Parasol, a must-attend event for bibliophiles. In Paris, the historic Drouot location is hosting the Collections auction on July 16, which includes photography, toys and comics. The day is also enlivened by Bonhams, which holds the Knightsbridge Jewels and Modern British & Irish Art auctions in London, while online sales of Automobilia and Discovery | Interiors conclude.
On July 17, the focus shifts to different venues. Sotheby’s, through its auto division, closes the RM Sotheby’s Sealed Drop online sale, an opportunity to buy collector cars with secret bidding. In Vienna, Dorotheum concludes its online auction of Watches and Men’s Accessories. The weekend features Drouot in Paris, which offers an evening auction of 20th Century Art, Contemporary Art & Design on July 20. The international week continues with Bonhams ’ Paintings, furniture and varia auction in Denmark on July 21. Also at Drouot’s on July 22 are the Watches, Jewelry & Coins sale and, at Bonhams in Los Angeles, the California Jewels sale. Finally, on July 23, Sotheby’s concludes its week of New York sales with the Arcade auction, while Bonhams in Edinburgh presents its traditional and curious The Dog Sale, devoted entirely to dog-themed artworks, and concludes its online auction of Chinese Paintings in Australia.
