Award-winning designer creates living room furniture set inspired by the Tower of Pisa

From the leaning tower of Pisa comes a furniture set: the design object of Yongwook Seong.

Had you ever thought that you could sip a good tea on ... a decomposed Tower of Pisa? Designer Yongwook Seong has created a stackable furniture set inspired by the famous leaning tower in Piazza dei Miracoli. The tower, which reaches a total height of nearly three meters, can be broken down into six pieces: two small tables (one larger and one smaller) and four chairs upholstered with velvet. The set, which has been given the name Pisa, is adaptable to all environments, as it can be easily broken down and reassembled according to occasion and space. For safety reasons, the “leaning tower” was made with a slope of 0 degrees.

One of the most famous and visited monuments around the world, which constitutes the bell tower of the Pisan cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and whose slope is caused by subsidence of the ground below (the inclination is 3.9 degrees from the vertical axis), has thus been transformed into an original design object thanks to the creativity of its award-winning creator.
