On the occasion of 10 years since its inauguration on the occasion of Bergamo Brescia Capital of Culture 2023, the Brescia metro thus becomes a real author’s metro, bringing together sustainable mobility (with its 18 million km traveled it has saved 55 million kg of CO2) and beauty, confirming a choice relationship with contemporary art (also present in some of the main stations). From the Brescia subway depot, the extension of Connections then departs: the carriages, also decorated with the replicated artwork, traverse the city, recounting the profiles and glimpses of the 2023 Capital of Culture, the Leonessa, the second largest municipality in Lombardy by population, whose monuments from the Roman and Lombard periods have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
