Free Admission Days at the Uffizi. From Nov. 5 to Nov. 10, get in for free at the Accademia Gallery

Free admission to the Uffizi museum complex: in addition to Sunday at the Museum, the Accademia Gallery in Florence is offering free admission from November 5 to 10, 2019.

Asalready known, today, Oct. 31, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Family Pact signed on Oct. 31, 1737 by the last Medici descendant Anna Maria Luisa, the Uffizi museum complex will have free admission, but new free admission days are already planned.

As part of Sunday at the Museum, an initiative promoted by MiBACT, the Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti, the Boboli Gardens and the Galleria dell’Accademia will be open to visitors free of charge on Nov. 3.

In addition, from Nov. 5 to 10, admission to the Accademia Gallery will be free.

“This is a great opportunity for those who love Michelangelo’s David to be able to see it and see it again at will, for several days in a row. But that’s not all: this week of free access to the Accademia can also be the right time to discover the other treasures of this exceptional museum: the extraordinary collection of Florentine religious paintings from the 1300s to the 1500s, which includes, in particular one of the most important collections of medieval art in the world, and also the invaluable historical musical instruments of the Cherubini Conservatory,” commented the director of the Uffizi Galleries, Eike Schmidt.
