In Florence, at ETRA - Studio Tommasi, six meetings dedicated to the great protagonists of modern art will be held from February 8, 2019.

At ETRA - Studio Tommasi in Florence, six meetings, curated by art historian Elisa Gradi, are scheduled from Friday, February 8 to Friday, April 12, 2019, dedicated to the great protagonists of modern art, such as Édouard Manet, Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, Edward Munch, Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele.

The program features Friday, Feb. 8, Édouard Manet and the Birth ofImpressionism: shadows and light hymn to modern life, and Friday, Feb. 22, Vincent Van Gogh and the dream of color. It continues on Friday, March 8, with Paul Cézanne and the search for absolute form; Friday, March 22, Paul Gauguin, fugitive poet in a lost paradise. Friday, April 5, will be devoted to Edward Munch between anxiety and passion: the crisis of man in the Western world and his evil of living. The last meeting will be held on Friday, April 12, with Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele and the exploration ofthe unconscious: art challenges conformism.

All meetings will begin at 9 p.m. and will offer participants short conversations and images through which to stimulate sharing.

Each meeting will have a limited number of participants: 35 participants selected according to the order of arrival of registrations; it is therefore necessary to make reservations by sending an email to info@etrastudiotommasi.it specifying the number of participants and the date chosen.

Participation in each meeting will cost 10 euros; there is a subscription that will allow participation in all meetings at a cost of 50 euros.
