Fundamental has been the relationship with the Associazione Antiquari d’Italia for the growth of the event: the association continues with its new president, Alessandra di Castro, who will exhibit for the first time in Modena, confirming the privileged relationship between Modenantiquaria and the Association.

Foreseeing a Modenantiquaria 2020 of further growth and success, ModenaFiere director Marco Momoli said, “In recent years Modenantiquaria has established itself as a reference event for Antiques of Excellence. A real Eden for art lovers and experts always on the lookout for precious masterpieces for great international collections and the most important museums. 2019 has been a real springboard for Modenantiquaria, which after conquering the national scepter for High Antiques, is now pushing itself with its XXXIV Edition to conquer the European market.”

"Modenantiquaria is by far the most important annual event dedicated to antiques in Italy; it is also the first appointment of the year, able to “feel the pulse” of the antique art market: at this particular time, the market is full of pieces of great quality. This thirty-fourth edition will try to attract those new audiences that are indispensable to guarantee vitality to a sector on the upswing; the goal is to make Modenantiquaria more and more a great salon of European antiques. A meeting point for collectors, enthusiasts, interior designers, but also for experts looking for quality pieces for museums and large international collections," stressed Alfonso Panzani, president of ModenaFiere.

During Modenantiquaria there will be important cultural initiatives and appointments aimed at everyone, in which gallery owners, museum directors, art dealers, and legal experts will speak, as well as personalities such as Valerio Massimo Manfredi and Philippe Daverio, who will discuss current issues such as the analysis of the market and new collectors, the immortality of the classics, and reflection on Europe as the “home of the arts.”

Modenantiquaria is organized by ModenaFiere under the patronage of Associazione Antiquari d’Italia, Associazione Antiquari Modenesi and FIMA, the Italian Federation of Art Dealers. Sponsor of the event is BPER Banca, which in a dedicated booth brings to the fair an important painting from its art collection signed by Giovanni Andrea Sirani circa 1635.
