The second edition of Pontremoli Barocca kicks off, with several new features


The second edition of Pontremoli Barocca, the event that opens the doors of the magnificent historic buildings of the Lunigiana town, is starting. This year there are several new features and many places to visit.

Pontremoli is back for Pontremoli Barocca, the event that opens the doors of the historic palaces of the Lunigiana town and is in its second edition this year, with some new features. Compared to last year, this year Pontremoli Barocca is a two-day event, thus offering an additional chance to admire the Pontremoli Baroque. It begins on Saturday, April 6, when it will be possible to participate in a number of events at symbolic places of Pontremoli Baroque, according to this program:

Guided tour of the Church of San Francesco with Seminary Library (10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. - Full ticket €10.00 per person and free under 18); Guided tour of Palazzo Zucchi Castellini - Cà di Piazza (11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m:00 - Full ticket €10.00 per person and free under 18 years old); Guided tour of Villa Gardens of Pavesi Negri-Baldini in Scorano (3:00 pm and 4:00 pm - Full ticket €10.00 per person and free under 18 years old); Guided tour with aperitif of Palazzo Petrucci (5:30 pm - Single ticket €15.00 per person). All special events are limited in number and reservations are required as of March 1, 2024.

On Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., 5 venues will be open to the public, as in the past edition, where guided tours will be held on a rotating basis, about every 20 minutes. In addition to Palazzo Dosi Magnavacca, Palazzo Pavesi Ruschi Noceti and the Teatro della Rosa, already present in the past edition, the two new additions will be the church of San Giacomo d’Altopascio and the Bishop’s Palace. Guided tours will be conducted with the support of Sigeric tour guides and students from Lunigiana schools. In addition, with the cumulative ticket “Pontremoli Barocca” you will be entitled to a discount on the entrance ticket to Piagnaro Castle with the Museum of Lunigiana Stele Statues.
