Naples, at MANN, for a few months it will be possible... to visit the cave of Lascaux

From Jan. 31 to May 31, 2020, the National Archaeological Museum in Naples presents Lascaux 3.0, the exhibition that will allow visitors to discover the famous Lascaux cave complex, a veritable artistic treasure trove dating back to the Upper Paleolithic.

The French site, moreover, is no longer accessible for conservation reasons: it can only be enjoyed through a reconstruction located near the complex, which is also being presented in a traveling version around the world.

Set up in the Hall of the Starry Sky and adjacent halls, the exhibition stems from the network established with the Lascaux Public Society- The International Exhibition, the Department of Dordogne- Périgord and the Region of Nouvelle Aquitaine.

The exhibition, which combines technology, art and education, is a symbolic premise to the presentation of the new museum display of the “Prehistory and Protohistory” collection, which will again be open to the public from February 28.

For all information you can visit MANN’s official website.
