Wine & mosaics: their connection told by students of the Friuli Mosaic School

In Codroipo (Udine) an exhibition by the Friuli Mosaic School tells of the close link between culture and wine.

From August 9, 2019, to January 20, 2020, about 20 works created by the students of the Friuli Mosaic School will be on display at the Rauscedo Winery in Codroipo (Udine ).

Title chosen for the exhibition is Vino&Mosaic to highlight the close link between culture and wine. Wine is told through historical evidence, the environment, man and the future; in the historical sections decorative elements are visible, while in the future section it is highlighted how in the absence of care for the environment by man, it is inevitably compromised.

Vino&Mosaics is meant to remind us of the close connection between theancient craftsmanship of the artisans that mosaicists help to pass on and theancient farming tradition. The more contemporary works on display, on the other hand, refer back to the phases of the moon and the cycle of the seasons that govern the working of the land.
Also among the themes addressed are more current ones such as recycling and regeneration of materials to give them new light without wasting anything.
