Brera Art Gallery: extended hours, more visitors and more accessible rooms

As of July 6, the Pinacoteca di Brera is increasing its opening hours, the number of visitors and accessible rooms, taking another step toward a new normal.

It will in fact be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (with last entry at 5 p.m.): the museum thus extends the hours during which it can be visited in presence, while BreraPlus+ allows the public to access it 24/7.

In addition, even if visitor quotas are confirmed, 210 people will be able to enter the Pinacoteca every hour instead of 120 as has been possible until now. This expansion is made possible by a revision of the maximum capacity of the rooms (+ about 40 percent) and the abolition of the “one-way” route. Compulsory reservation remains, as a useful tool for public awareness, preparation and personalization of the museum experience (which begins and continues at home).

Room X will be recovered in the exhibition route, welcoming the public with a great novelty: the five panels of Bernardo Zenale’s Cantoria, already presented to the press on June 24 and available from the same day on Brera Plus+, where subscribers can immerse themselves in the documentary Rondò. The Return of Zenale’s Cantoria to Brera. Thanks to the donation of Antonella and Guglielmo Castelbarco, from July 6 the Cantoria will be accessible to all, and a new catalog published by Marsilio will also be published on July 12.
