In the Necropolis of the Monterozzi in Tarquinia, six tombs will currently be open to visitors: the Tomb of the Lionesses, the Tomb of the Lotus Flower, the Tomb of the Jugglers, the Tomb of the Hunter, the Tomb of Hunting and Fishing and the Tomb of the Caronti.
At the Banditaccia Necropolis in Cerveteri, the public will instead be able to admire the Tomb of the Hut and the Tomb of the Reliefs.

“Museums, archaeological areas, and cultural sites are not islands: they live in the territory and with the territory. The Unesco Site of Cerveteri and Tarquinia is no exception: it constitutes an essential part of our history and identity. Reopening it together with the local administrations, that is, with the commitment of the municipalities of Tarquinia and Cerveteri, means giving the right signal, because it is a signal of civilization. In doing so we must continue to be cautious and therefore treasure the experience we have gained in these last, terrible weeks,” said Lazio regional museums director Edith Gabrielli.

“I am delighted that a site of such relevance to its territory and to all civil society is being returned to the public. Respecting the fundamental criterion of gradualness, we will treasure the experience of the coming first days to work on the continuous improvement and increase in quality and quantity of the cultural offer of these wonderful places,” added Unesco Site Director Daniela De Angelis.

Tickets: Full at single site 6 euros, 10 euros for museum + necropolis of one of the sites, 15 euros for the entire circuit.
