Peggy Guggenheim Collection reopens 6 days a week thanks to fundraising efforts

As of Sept. 2, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection reopens its doors to the public six days a week, thanks in part to the fundraising effort launched.

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection has announced that it will reopen its doors to the public, in its home at Palazzo Venier dei Leoni in Venice, starting Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

Access to the museum venue will be by online reservation only and with time-restricted admissions.

Visitors will be able to return to view Peggy Guggenheim’s collection six days a week, Wednesday through Monday, with hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The gradual return to normalcy has also been made possible thanks to the Together for the PGC fundraising campaign, which aims to reopen daily and to ensure that all visitor activities, currently still partially suspended, are once again free of charge.

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection faced, due to 86 days of forced closure, a loss of more than 2 million euros and has therefore launched an extraordinary fundraising campaign to be able to support all its goals, since it has no state funds.
