The municipality of Nichelino, in the province of Turin, has dedicated a mural to Piero Angela, the unforgettable journalist and science popularizer who passed away at the age of 93 last August. The mural is part of a series of street art works for an urban redevelopment project.

His son Alberto Angela went to preview the work dedicated to his father and took a selfie that he shared on social media. “It is beautiful, immense...thank you from the bottom of my heart!” he commented.

The mural was created on the facade of a building in Nichelino by a group of artists selected by the city to pay tribute to the famous popularizer. It will be officially unveiled on Dec. 22, the anniversary of Piero Angela’s birth.
