August bank holiday, state museums and cultural sites open on August 14 and 15

On the occasion of Ferragosto, state museums, archaeological parks and cultural sites, including castles, abbeys, monumental complexes, villas and gardens, will remain open on August 14 and 15, 2023. Some institutions will then postpone to another day of the week the scheduled Monday or Tuesday closure.

Visits will take place during the usual opening hours and according to the visiting arrangements established by the individual facilities, including reservations where provided. It is emphasized that those on August 14 and 15 are not free openings.
