Barberini-Corsini National Galleries step up their social media columns

The National Galleries of Palazzo Barberini and Galleria Corsini also join the #iorestoacasa campaign and step up their social media activity

The National Galleries of Ancient Art of Palazzo Barberini and Galleria Corsini are also participating in the #iorestoacasa campaign on their social channels. “We are always open in the ways allowed in this period of crisis trying to fulfill our task as a museum and we will respond to every request, question, need of our public,” said director Flaminia Gennari Santori.
On Facebook, Twitter and Instagram profiles, therefore, the narrative of the Galleries and exhibitions will be further intensified.

As far as the museum venues are concerned, there will be a continuation of fixed columns to narrate the works in the collection. Specifically:

- on Saturdays, for the past three years, through the #collection column, the works on display at Palazzo Barberini and Galleria Corsini are described. So far, about 150 works have been narrated. A wealth of stories always available.

- on Tuesdays with #Settecentoilluminato, from mid-October, the 18th-century apartment is described with all its rooms, decorations and anecdotes related to the family.

- on Wednesdays the museum is told through #ABCBarberiniCorsini, an alphabet of the museum’s two locations that has reached the letter U for Urban VIII, which will be published on March 11.

- In a few weeks, the new column #andavadimoda will start to discover, through the most important paintings, the details of fashion in the past.

In addition, only on Instagram, on Mondays with #vistidavoi and #conivostriocchi the most beautiful photos that visitors share with the museum through the hashtags #palazzobarberini and #galleriacorsini are published.

As for the exhibitions, on Thursdays and Fridays, stories, trivia, and details of their staging are posted. Short videos are being prepared with the two curators who will tell “pills” of the two exhibitions: Orazio Borgianni. A restless genius in Caravaggio’s Rome, curated by Gianni Papi at Palazzo Barberini, and Rembrandt at the Corsini Gallery: the Self-Portrait as St. Paul, curated by Alessandro Cosma at the Corsini Gallery.
